Luisset Acosta

Coach Luisset Acosta brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to Borinquen Volleyball Academy. She began playing volleyball at just six years old in the little leagues of Puerto Rico, later competing in the Liga Puertorriqueña Profesional, as well as youth leagues and college competition. Her coaching career includes leading minor leagues in Puerto Rico, two successful seasons as Varsity Head Coach at Rosedale Christian Academy—where her team won the Christian School Championship in both 2020 and 2021—and beach volleyball experience through volunteer work with a winter league in Crofton. She currently serves as the Head Coach of the Holy Trinity Varsity team.

Her coaching philosophy for this season focuses on building skills, confidence, and leadership in her athletes, ensuring they not only enjoy the game but also grow as individuals. Coach Luisset is passionate about helping players realize that every dream can be achieved with discipline and training. She thrives in a positive, energetic environment and finds joy in watching her athletes flourish on and off the court.

Fun Fact: Coach Luisset loves shopping and is known for dancing and singing along to songs played in stores—often drawing curious looks from fellow shoppers!
