Jacqulyn Pigford

Coach Jackie has been coaching volleyball since 2002 and brings decades of combined playing and coaching experience to Borinquen Volleyball Academy. She has coached at Dunbar High School, Northwestern High School, Grace Brethren Christian School, DMV All-Stars, Revolution DC Club, and currently serves as the Head JV Coach at Southern Maryland Christian Academy. She joined BVA in 2023 and has since led both travel and developmental teams.

As a player, she competed as a defensive specialist and outside hitter at Lincoln University, where she was also a two-time All-American in track and field. Her extensive background gives her a deep understanding of athletic performance, team dynamics, and leadership development.

Coach Jackie’s philosophy focuses on fundamentals, accountability, and communication. She challenges athletes to take ownership of their growth while fostering a team-first mentality.

Parents respect her professionalism, dedication, and balance of firm guidance with genuine care. Off the court, she is a business owner, Senior Finance Analyst, and proud mother of two volleyball-playing daughters who share her competitive spirit.
